3 ways to build your app prototype…
You can build our app by the Development strategy.
Development strategy means “how you are going to build your app?” “Is your app build by you (or) others? “.
such that you can see, feel & interact with the skeleton (basic functionalities) of your app on your mobile screen.
This will be a wonderful moment which will inspire you a lot.
(Here, I said skeleton because you can see, feel & interact with just visually until it gets life with coding).
Just imagine that you are a wonderful painter.
You got an amazing thought to paint (say) “Monalisa”.
In the beginning, you draw several sketches of Monalisa, figure out what colors to be used, where to buy those colors,
where to buy the drawing sheet, where to buy the paintbrushes, and also “when to start?” “where to start?” and
“how to start painting?”.
This is exactly what you will be doing for your mobile app idea.
But…
Instead of one painting you will make multiple screens (known as frames) and combine(link them) all of them
with “wireframes”.
This is very simple to do.
And…
you have already done the majority of work from getting an app idea to sketching your wireframes (how your app looks like).
you can modify this as many times as you want.
Now, you are going to build your app in the real world. Congratulations!!!.
Just now you have started a very crucial step in building your mobile app.
But…
You might be thinking- “how to build an app?”.
No problem, I will walk you through 3 options through which you can build your app.
1. Coding:-
I know this is not what we were expecting. But, don’t worry it is just an option.
But, if you are looking to get a career in the software industries you can learn this.
If not, completely ignore this just like me.
2. Hiring others (out-sourcing):-
This is one of the best options to build your basic app by paying $100- $500 (but, the price varies based on the
the complexity of your app).
If you have a job (or) have money to afford this and you don’t want to build your app by yourself then this is the best option for
you.
***3. Drag and Drop:-
I love this method.
This is really a wonderful way I am using to build my basic app.
Here, you don’t need to write complex code (or) you don’t need to be an expert in using these drag and drop tools.
Even a beginner like you can build wonderful apps with basic knowledge.
Here, you will drag and drop required features & elements on several frames and connect them using wire-frames to
add functionality to your app.
There are FREE platforms to build a basic app.
And…
My favorite platforms are Adobe XD, Invision, Figma, etc, with some limited features which you can buy later with few bucks($)
when you are satisfied with that specific platform.
Other paid/premium platforms I like are proto.io, sketch, etc. Here, you need to pay a few bucks($) every month for building your app along with all the features and services.
But…
As a beginner/starter FREE platforms are more than enough.
When you start building your app…
At first, it will be confusing. But, on practicing you will feel very comfortable & confident enough to build your app.
To learn more I prefer to use youtube.
Click the link below to learn different platforms available and choose one platform available and choose one platform
and learn them.
FREE platforms:- Adobe XD, Invision, Figma
Paid/ premium :- proto.io, sketch
If you can practice one platform. Literally, you can build apps on any platform shown above.
That’s one of the major benefits of drag and drop.
CONCLUSION:-
Now, you have learned about “development strategy”.
It’s time to take action.
Open your laptop and download Free/Premium Software and build your basic app and feel them on your smartphones (it will be a wonderful experience).
